Black and White

This photo was taken at a recent trip down the coast. I played around with the black and white elements
on the digital cameral software. My next experiment is to try and retain the
fabulous aquamarine colour of the upper boat rim
while keeping the rest of the shot in black and white.

I know this photo is one of millions of the cliqued shots people take of sunsets but i just love the fact i was able to capture the amazing colours and variations in the cloud patterns on this memorable evening. Even the reflection on the lake looked as though it was a bay of molten lava rather than water

Macro

Experimenting with the macro  feature of my Olympus C-760 opened up a whole new world to me
the world of really small things that can look really big. This unusual flower is actually from a plant
that was given to me by my grandmother. She had the most amazing collection of cactii
